Racing down the driveway

The boys got a big kick out of pushing their little trikes to the top of the driveway and racing down.

Hike

We live at the base of this mountain, and after living here for 3 years, we finally climbed it. Ethan made it all the way to the top on his own!

Apple picking

The annual visit to the orchard down the road.

Air show

I took the boys to The Great State of Maine Airshow on Sept 15. Fun! There was a guy there named John Klatt doing stunts and he was incredible.

The Blue Angels perform their knife edge maneuver. This stuff impresses me a lot more now that I'm old enough to know what goes into this kind of precision.

Brrr

We spent Labor day at the beach with some friends. It was breezy & a little chilly!

Kids at the fair

We did the typical stuff: antique tractor pull, livestock, rides, and the petting zoo. I think the petting zoo was their favorite:

Tree takedown

We had a tree in our front yard that had to be taken down. I have cut a lot of trees on our property, but these were just too close to our shed and the power lines. So we hired an arborist to do it.

Fishing

I took the boys fishing yesterday. I think they had a nice time but we didn't catch any. Ethan had a couple good bites though.

iPhone launch chuckles

Here's a news video showing a lady who showed up at an AT&T store w/ $16K in cash and the intent to buy all the iPhones in the store.

Sleeping fawn

Bambi slept in Emily's garden last night. I found him (her?) in our front yard just before I left for work this morning. We never saw an adult deer, so we're not sure if it's mom is around or not.

This picture is pretty fuzzy b/c I took it through our screen.

Here's a closeup. You can see how small it was compared with the tomato plant it slept under.
